Ghost Summer: Bryan Putnam Artist-in-Residence Exhibit at Confluence Gallery

Ghost Summer
Bryan Putnam, Confluence Artist-in-Residence
July 23 – August 27
Opening Reception July 23 4-8pm

Ghost Summer is a collection of zines, drawings and fragments of writing inspired by the ideas, places, and stories currently haunting his imagination. These works explore his personal ghosts and begin to unmask ideas and questions at the core of his artistic practice.

As Confluence Artist - in-Residence, Bryan Putnam received three months of studio space on the second floor of the Confluence Gallery from May 1st – July 31st and a solo exhibit in the Gallery gift shop July 23 - Aug 27 2016.

Bryan grew up in the Methow Valley and he and his wife decided recently to move home to Twisp. The birth of their little girl and a desire to put roots down in a place that they deeply care about were at the forefront of that decision. Bryan also decided to shift his artistic path from a focus on academia to a focus on full-time studio production. He hopes the Confluence Gallery residency will help him to kick- start this goal as well as further connect him with the local community.
