Join us for the Confluence Gallery's 6th Annual Trashion Show. A fabulous runway show with Upcycled Recycled outfits ranging from Street-Style to Country Couture transformed from everyday trash.

Local adult and student designers have transformed junk into wearable, even functional, outfits for our fabulous runway show. These unique pieces of art compete to win fabulous cash prizes with hundreds of spectators applauding their designs! Our audience gets to choose their favorite for the People’s Choice Award.

Special features of this year’s Trashion show include a specialty cocktail designed by Copper Glance, complimentary coffee bar from Blue Star Coffee Roasters, and a delectable menu of tapas and desserts by Rocking Horse Bakery. Food and Drink will be available at 6pm when the doors open. Come early, have dinner and a drink while we warm up the runway!

Trashion Show was the brainstorm of Methow Valley Artists Lisa Doran, Laura Karcher, Laurie Kain and Donna Keyser. Together they hoped to tap into a new outlet for artistic expression, merging fashion and recycling into a living art display.

In bringing together Confluence Gallery with community organizations that promoted recycling, they hoped to encourage people to look at things they may ordinarily throw away in a whole new light and with new purpose. Getting the local community to make and talk about art in a new way and finding new possibilities of what can be considered art is the heart of what the Trashion Show is all about.

The Trashion Show runway experience makes a living, breathing, eco driven visual display and certainly retains the special magic created at the very first show 6 years ago.

The nature of art itself is often provocative, as is this show. There really are no rules. This is a chance for everyone to look at what and how we consume, and shift that perspective to reuse in a creative way.

Our brave designers and models have worked for months transforming trash into unique and functional works of art. Please cheer them on and remember to vote for your favorites!

This event is brought to you by Confluence Gallery & Art Center, our amazing team of volunteers, event sponsors and fantastic designers and models!
