Grades: 1-5

March is the beginning of spring and the return of numerous birds in the Methow. During this art party students will contemplate and list birds that they have seen returning to the valley. We'll view the work of various artists and their interpretations of birds from James Audubon to Wendy Morgan. Students will learn the basics of drawing birds and then use various media including paint to explore their own renditions of birds but not necessarily limited to valley birds. Perhaps a blue footed booby shakes their booty!
