2014 Twisp Art Walk: Art Spawn

The 5th Annual Twisp Art Walk, titled "Art Spawn," celebrates the cultural and biological importance of the Valley rivers and recurring themes in local art. The entirety of Glover Street will be closed off and overflowing with activity, gallery openings, a readers' theater, a barista art throw-down, interactive fish displays, live music, food and drink, and street painting with visiting Austrian artist Karin Wimmeder at TwispWorks.

Participants include:

  • Cinnamon Twisp: show of Ginger Reddington, possibly live music
  • Peligro: Salyna Gracie will show her work
  • The Studio: Showing of Terry Hunt's "Reclamation"
  • The River Bank (Bureau of Reclamation Rolling River, Methow Salmon Recovery Foundation and WRS will be grilling food, and Gyotaku for fish prints)
  • Jeff Lyman/Leaf Seaborg doing fly tieing
  • Little Library at the Twisp Post Office
  • Methow Artscapes Jessica Dietz open studio
  • Mick & Miki's (TBD)
  • Trout Unlimited (TBD)
  • Confluence Gallery: Opening of "Our River"
  • The Merc: Readers' theater
  • Methow Valley Interpretive Center
  • Spartan Art Project: Karel Renard's "Pataphysics" show opening
  • TwispWorks: open studios, food, drinks, activity with Geomancer Karin Wimmeder
  • Blue Star Coffee Roasters barista art throw-down
  • Methow Valley Inn Garden exhibit

And there's a BONUS! At 6:00pm all Twisp Art Walk participants will have an opportunity to create a "human river" - everyone will lie down in the middle of Glover Street for an aerial photograph!
