Gregg Caudell on exhibit at Mazama Country Inn April 1-June 30 2016

Confluence Gallery presents:

Gregg Caudell

A solo exhibit at:

Mazama Country Inn

April 1 - June 30

Confluence Gallery is pleased to present the art of Gregg Caudell at the Mazama Country Inn.

Gregg is featuring luminous and colorful oil paintings of the Palouse area of Washington State.
As a painter and farmer Gregg regards life as the greatest art where beauty is a matter of a paintbrush or a plow.

Most of Gregg's work is done "en plein air" or "on location". Painting on location has taught him the importance of "place" as Gaugain pointed out "where we come from, what are we and where we are going."  Gregg works from his home studio on the Colville Reservation in Eastern Washington State and on locations across the State.

Born and raised in the "Highline" country of Montana where cowboy artist Charlie Russell and Olaf Seltzer were family friends, Gregg was raised on a wheat ranch where the distant mountains were a blue line on the horizon. He worked horses logging and farming while raising his family in the Sanpoil Valley of the Colville Reservation. Working the land with horses and nature has led to his learning and painting about the big hitches that developed the farmscapes of Eastern Washington that we know today.
