Back to the Garden

We invite you to contribute to our exhibit “Back to the Garden” at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA. The show will open on June 11, 2016 and will run thru July 16, 2016.

What comes to mind when you think of returning to the garden? Is it literal or metaphorical? We want to hear from artists about how they capture the emergence of renewal not just from winter's chill but from more personal forms of darkness such as death or fear. What brings you back to life?

Number of pieces to submit: 1 to 3 pieces (3 pieces maximum per artist).

Here are the rules**- Each piece must be:

 
Your own original work.
Available for sale.
Created in the last 3 years.
Never previously been shown in the Methow Valley area.
Any Size
Any Medium
Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work (works without hanging hardware will not be hung. If framed, we expect quality frames with no damage or blemishes to present a quality exhibit. Damaged frames will not be hung.)

**Please note the curator(s) have the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, quality or available space of the show. We are looking for high quality execution, presentation, and thoughtful content that contribute to the vision of the show.

Deadlines (all items to be emailed to curator at jmarracci@methow.com):
Intent to Submit and Jpeg samples of work or website by 3-11-16 Email Jpegs of finished work or work in progress by 5-11-16 (300 dpi for printed promo materials).
Email Artist Statement and Bio by 6-1-16.
Completed works, Inventory Sheet and Confluence Gallery Contract 6-4-16.
Show Opening June 11th 4pm – 8pm. All artists are encouraged to attend.
Show Closes July 16th. Work will be available for pick up after 3pm.

The Confluence Gallery and Art Center is a non-profit gallery. All shipping costs to and from the gallery of unsold works is each artist's responsibility. See Confluence Gallery Shipping Procedures form for details.
