Methow Valley Artist painter and sculptor Vblast (aka Vern White) has created a fabulous floor installation titled "The Devil is in the Details"
Vblast is an ardent collector of broken and seemingly useless things and takes great pleasure in what can be repurposed into a new paradigm. He creates stories that reflect the history of this bits and pieces while birthing something entirely different in the creative stew. Each object brings its own timeline from the point of origin to the moment of demise. Reborn again to tell a new tale in the toxic brew of resin in which they are encased. A fly in amber. Vblast is a self-taught artist originally from Oakland, CA and now residing in the Methow Valley, WA. For over 25 years Vblast honed his art skills in the arena of independent graphic illustration and pre-production. In 2001, he decided to devote himself entirely to his own work and began a journey into non objective abstraction. The abstract art of Vblast has been exhibited in a variety of Northwest galleries and venues, as well as, included in numerous private collections worldwide.
