A Call To Artists:
Celebration of the Horse!
We invite you to contribute to our exhibit “Celebration of the Horse” at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA. The Confluence Gallery will give a percentage of the proceeds to the non-profit organization Methow Valley Riding Unlimited (MVRU), which offers a therapeutic riding program among others. However, all artists will receive their full commission for works sold during the exhibit. The show will open on August 29th and will run thru October 3rd.The purpose of this show is to honor and celebrate the majestic horse. Horses have long been honored by many native cultures around the work. They enable us in so many ways with their movement and grace. Due to its natural companionship with humans, in both work and art, the Horse easily wins a special seat in history, earning high marks of honor, reverence and symbolism.
The Horse is often seen as a symbol to represent power, beauty, grace, nobility, strength, freedom, movement, healing spirits, and wind among many others. So join us to “Celebrate the Horse!”
