BUSTIN’ OUT, Spring Trashion Show

Saturday, April 28
7-10:00pm
Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp

Thank you to Blue Star Coffee Roasters for sponsoring this event!

You can blast out of the winter doldrums and be part of the Bustin’Out Spring Trashion Show. Join fellow fashionistas in this annual upcycled fashion-fest brought to you by Confluence Art Center.

The fashion show evening will include the fabulous Noah Ashford as the runway show MC. Magpie will play live for our afterparty entertainment as well as DJ John Sinclair. Runway show models and designers along with their adoring fans can have their picture taken at the paparazzi photo booth. Great appetizers, beer and wine will be on hand in the lounge area.

For all you designers, closet designers, theatrical types or just plain exhibitionists there will be plenty of opportunity to win cash prizes. Bring it on, whether it’s a flamboyant upcycled/recycled costume, or a clever, crafty, subtly stimulating design. Outfits will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship, ingenious use of recycled materials and crowd appeal. Everyone is welcome to enter the competition, or just join the boisterous crowd cheering the audaciousness of friends and neighbors on the runway.

There will be opportunities to feed off group creative energy ahead of the Trashion Show. On April 12 from 1-8 The Sweatworks Studio and Studio D at Twispworks will open their doors for a upcycled trasion fashion creation lab. For $10 get expert advice, access to tools and materials and have a ton of fun. On Earth Day weekend, April 21 and 22 help clean up the valley and create cool stuff out of things that have been hiding under the snow all winter. Recycling Roundup, Methow Recycles and the Community School are collaborating to bring this fun, competitive and earth friendly event to the people.

Tickets $15 available at Brown Paper Tickets and Confluence Gallery
